Senior Backend Engineer

We are hiring for Senior Backend Engineer for one of our clients based out of UAE.

Client: Government Entity in Dubai

Role: Senior Backend Engineer

Contract: 12 months & extendable

Required Technical Expertise-

Must Have (8+ years)

• Node.js and Express in production at enterprise scale
• PostgreSQL — schema design, query optimisation, indexing, replication. PostgreSQL 16 and pgvector experience strongly preferred
• REST and GraphQL API design — versioning, contract management, security
• Apache Airflow or equivalent DAG-based pipeline orchestration
• Docker and Kubernetes in self-hosted environments — VMware-based deployment is the target
• Experience with Air-gapped, FedNet-only, on-premise VMware, MDM-enforced enivronments
• Self-hosted GitLab CI/CD or equivalent
