Staff Software Engineer (Java) at BairesDev

We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer with deep Java expertise who has designed and operated distributed cloud-native systems at real enterprise scale. You’re comfortable working across multiple cloud providers, you take operational ownership of the services you build, and you have the cross-team influence to set technical direction for how a multi-cloud platform evolves. You’ll be contributing to infrastructure that powers data governance, security, and service enablement for some of the world’s most demanding enterprise environments.

What You’ll Do:

- Architect and deliver Java-based cloud-native platform services across multi-cloud distributed infrastructure.

- Set technical direction for distributed service design and cloud-native development practices.

- Own operational responsibilities including monitoring, alerting, and on-call for platform services.

- Lead cross-team engineering initiatives and define standards for cloud platform development.

- Diagnose and resolve complex failures and performance issues across distributed cloud services.

- Mentor engineers and support technical development across the platform team.

What We Are Looking For:

- 8+ years of experience in IT roles.

- 7+ years of experience with Java as a primary language in cloud or platform engineering.

- Proven experience with multi-cloud architecture design across AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.

- Deep background in distributed cloud-native services at scale.

- Strong operational ownership experience including monitoring, alerting, and incident response.

- Demonstrated cross-team technical leadership at a Staff or equivalent level.

- Advanced proficiency in English.
