Senior SRE / DevOps Engineer role focused on platform reliability, automation, and AWS infrastructure rather than pure software development. The environment is heavily cloud-native and serverless-first, using AWS services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, and OpenSearch within a microservices architecture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing infrastructure using Terraform / CloudFormation
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar)
- Working with Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, and containerised platforms
- Improving scalability, reliability, monitoring, and performance
- Managing observability with Datadog
- Developing Python scripts/tools for automation and performance testing
Core requirements:
- 5+ years in AWS / DevOps / SRE environments
- Strong AWS experience, especially serverless and container platforms
- Strong Terraform or CloudFormation knowledge
- Experience with Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, CI/CD pipelines
- 2+ years of Python scripting/automation experience
- Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems
Nice-to-have:
- FinOps / cloud cost optimisation exposure
- AI automation, prompt engineering, or “vibe coding” interest
- Platform engineering knowledge
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate etc.)
