Laboratory Analyst

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Analyst to join a busy laboratory operations team. This position is ideal for someone with a strong scientific background who enjoys working in a quality-driven, fast-paced laboratory environment and is committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy, compliance, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately perform assigned analytical tests, examinations, and laboratory procedures.
• Complete all required quality documentation and laboratory records in line with procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe laboratory environment at all times.
• Carry out sample preparation, lysing, cleaning, and genotyping activities.
• Perform sample quality checks and ensure accurate handling of materials and data.
• Prepare and handle chemical-based reagents and buffers safely and correctly.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and ISO 17025 standards.
• Support continuous improvement by assisting with SOP reviews, training, and issue escalation.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Biological Science or a related discipline.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a structured environment.
• Ability to follow strict laboratory procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Good organisational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous laboratory experience would be considered an advantage.
