Software Testing Engineer

We are now looking for a Software Testing Engineer to strengthen our Quality Assurance within the MagiCAD Cloud product line.

In this role, you will join the Platform Services team and help ensure high quality QA function.

We are looking for a dedicated QA professional who can work independently and in a team, contribute to the structure of the testing function and actively work to develop our QA practices. We are looking for someone with experience in quality assurance and a proactive, analytical way of working. You are able to identify and analyse issues, communicate clearly especially with software development teams, and organise your own work in a structured and independent way. We hope that you have experience in planning QA workload, improving QA processes, and supporting other team members by sharing knowledge and good practices. You communicate effectively with both technical stakeholders and non-technical stakeholders. You are fluent in English, and Finnish is considered an advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Functional and regression testing.
• Test frontend UI and backend services of MagiCAD Cloud product line.
• Test REST APIs.
• Implement test automation.
• Plan QA workload in the team.
• Intake and follow-up on bug reports.
• Improve QA processes.

We hope you have at least the following qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a QA role
• Analytical mindset
• Experience in testing of Cloud based SaaS solutions
• Experience in REST API testing
• Experience in test automation
• Experience in planning and improving QA processes
• Excellent communications skills, both towards internal stakeholders and towards customers. Fluent in English, Finnish is considered as a bonus.

We consider as an asset

• Domain knowledge of the MEP design industry
• Experience in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit or BricsCAD)
• Experience with Jira for planning and issue tracking
• Experience with C# and TypeScript
• Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines
• Relevant education background, e.g. bachelor’s degree in computer science, or information technology

Job location

This is a hybrid role with flexible remote working opportunities. The role also requires occasional work from one of our offices in Finland (Espoo, Turku, or Rauma) to collaborate with colleagues in person.
