Technical Lead, LearnWith.AI (Remote) - $200,000/year USD

We are seeking Technical Team Leads to own quality and delivery for our application-level products. You will guide a compact team of 3-5 engineers developing educational applications used by thousands of students.

Potential Products Include

• Athena: AI-powered videos and assessments producing measurable learning results
• TeachTap: AI-driven platform bringing historical personalities to life through a TikTok-inspired learning interface
• TeachTales: Customized, immersive storytelling designed to enhance reading comprehension
• TrashCat: Game-based learning that makes education enjoyable and compelling
  
  

This position blends hands-on technical work with leadership: you'll spend roughly 50% implementing sophisticated features yourself and 50% guiding and developing your team. You define quality expectations, create architectural patterns, conduct code reviews with instructional intent, and foster engineer development. Team results fall under your accountability, extending beyond your individual contributions.

Compact teams, significant ownership, minimal administrative overhead. Your focus is technical leadership; people management is handled separately.

What You Will Be Doing

• Implementing sophisticated features that establish technical patterns for the team
• Conducting pull request reviews with comprehensive, instructional commentary
• Developing engineers through pair programming and constructive feedback
• Orchestrating technical initiatives and decomposing project requirements
• Defining quality benchmarks and enforcing adherence across the team
  
  

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Handling personnel matters (recruitment, termination, performance evaluations, career planning)
• Developing platform or infrastructure layers
• Attending excessive meetings
• Designing systems without direct implementation involvement
  
  

Basic Requirements

Technical Lead key responsibilities

• Minimum 5 years of full-stack development experience
• Minimum 2 years in a leadership capacity (conducting code reviews, mentoring developers, defining team standards)
• Proven history of delivering SaaS products
• Practical experience integrating AI tools into development processes

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
