My client is a small, ambitious team building something they care deeply about and they're looking for an engineer who wants to be part of shaping it from the ground up.
This isn't a role where someone slots into an established machine. The person joining will help build the machine. That means writing great code, yes — but also asking the right questions, flagging the right tradeoffs, and caring about the people actually using what gets built.
What they are looking for:
They are less interested in someone who has used the right tools than someone who knows how to approach a problem — and trusts that they can figure it out. Technical range matters, but curiosity and pragmatism matter more.
Personality fit is hugely important. The team is small and spends real time together. The right person will be unassuming, collaborative, and focused on what actually matters — the user.
To be direct: They are building from scratch. There isn't a lot of process yet and that's not a gap the team expects someone to tolerate, it's something they expect the right person to help fill.
