Senior .NET Backend Engineer (Azure / DevOps)

📍 Rotterdam, Netherlands (Hybrid)

💰 Freelance Contract | €85–95 p/h

🕒 Initial 3-Month Contract (Likely Extension)

We’re currently supporting a high-performing engineering team working on complex backend systems within a large-scale enterprise environment.

This role sits within a fast-moving product engineering environment focused on building and improving mission-critical cloud-based systems, with a strong emphasis on backend engineering, infrastructure, reliability, and DevOps collaboration.

The team is looking for a senior engineer who can contribute quickly, work closely with experienced developers, and help support ongoing platform and backend engineering initiatives.

• DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure

What They’re Looking For

• Strong backend engineering experience within enterprise environments

• Experience working on production-critical distributed systems

• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure & DevOps practices

• Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows

• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset

• Someone comfortable operating in fast-moving engineering teams

Nice to Have

• Experience with event-driven architecture

• Exposure to Kafka, gRPC, or Azure Event Hubs

• Experience supporting scalable cloud-native systems

• Experience within high-throughput or real-time environments
