Agile Delivery Leader/ Scrum Master - Remote

Job Title: Agile Delivery Lead / Scrum Master (Contract)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Agile practitioner to support two cross-functional software product and engineering teams (approximately 6–8 people per team) operating in a hybrid Agile environment. Our teams leverage a mix of Scrum and Kanban practices to support iterative delivery and continuous flow.

This role will focus on facilitating team cadences, removing impediments, and helping teams continuously improve how work moves from concept to delivery. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a pragmatic Agile environment where frameworks are applied thoughtfully rather than strictly.

This is a contract position supporting teams that operate in a hybrid work environment (combination of in-office and remote collaboration). Candidates located within the same or adjacent time zones are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate team cadences such as daily stand-ups, planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
• Help teams maintain a sustainable delivery rhythm while adapting practices as needed.
• Help teams identify and remove impediments that impact delivery.
• Surface and coordinate cross-team dependencies when they arise.
• Support teams in improving workflow clarity and predictability.
• Partner with Product Managers, Technical Product Owners, and Engineering to ensure work is well understood and ready for development.
• Help teams inspect and adapt how work flows through the system.
• Help maintain visibility into team progress, risks, and delivery forecasts for stakeholders.
• Encourage clear communication between product, engineering, and leadership.
• Coach team members and stakeholders on effective Agile practices in a hybrid Scrum/Kanban environment.
• Encourage lightweight, practical ways of working that support delivery and team health.
• Support consistent workflow practices in tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Help maintain clear boards, workflows, and working agreements.
• Encourage experimentation with emerging tools, including AI-assisted workflows, that improve team productivity, analysis, and delivery transparency.
  
  

Qualifications

• 1–5+ years of experience supporting Agile software development teams as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or similar role
• Experience working with cross-functional product and engineering teams
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to identify and resolve delivery impediments
• Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar)
• Ability to balance Agile best practices with pragmatic delivery needs
• Scrum certification (CSM, PSM, or similar) is helpful but not required.
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with teams that use hybrid Agile approaches (Scrum, Kanban, or Scrumban)
• Background in SaaS, digital products, or technical product development
• Experience supporting distributed or hybrid teams
• Familiarity with metrics such as velocity, burndown, cycle time, and capacity planning
• Interest in or experience leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve team workflows, analysis, documentation, or delivery insights
