Job Summary

Hartree Partners is seeking a Summer Intern to join the Cross Barrel Trading Desk in our Geneva office for a 3-month internship programme starting as soon as possible. We are looking for a technically strong, quick learner who is self-driven and able to work independently. The ideal candidate takes ownership of tasks, conducts their own research, and shows initiative.


Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Support the trading desk with technical and analytical tasks
  • Develop and maintain Python-based tools and scripts
  • Work with market and trading data
  • Collaborate with team members on projects and development work
  • Use Git/version control in a team environment
  • Conduct independent research and problem solving


Requirements: education, competencies & skills

  • Completed or currently completing a bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM subject such as Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
  • Strong Python skills
  • Familiarity with Git
  • Quick learner with strong problem-solving ability
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently


Preferred Requirements

  • Previous internship experience involving programming in a team setting
  • Experience working on technical or software development projects
