  • The Product Manager – Project Specialist will serve as the new product development and qualifications manager, responsible for overseeing all activities from the initial design phase through to final release, ensuring the product meets all requirements for end-user approval. The successful candidate will execute the strategy as envisioned by the Portfolio Leaders. The responsibilities of this role include supporting product development, control schedule, supply chain and financial delivery, based on investment decisions and contractual milestones.


As Product Manager – Project Specialist, you will be responsible for:


  • Owns the Project Management process for product development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Portfolio Managers, Engineering & Technology, Supply Chain, Project Delivery Managers, Project Directors, Service delivery, and others, to achieve successful product development program. Participates in Gate Reviews with the technology team and provides documentation as required for steering committee and project directors.
  • Project Planning and Timeline Management - Define project scope, create detailed schedules, allocate resources, and ensure milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Cross-Functional Team Coordination - Facilitate collaboration between products, application engineering, quality engineering, and manufacturing teams to align goals and ensure smooth execution.
  • Risk Management and Problem Solving - Identify potential risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues that may impact project execution, project timelines or product quality.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Reporting - Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and key decisions.
  • Leads initiatives that combine product development and process improvement activities.
  • Provides technical support to project directors and project delivery teams for specific escalation requests.
  • Responsible for leading initiatives and associated technologies to drive carbon footprint reduction.
  • Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Health Safety and Environmental policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Baker Hughes Core Values.

To be successful in this role you will:


  • Bachelor's Degree within appropriate Engineering/Science discipline or related areas.
  • Cross-functional Project Leadership experience or equivalent
  • Experience in project management, operations, technology or technical support
  • Knowledge on product development stages and qualification process within API and international standards
  • Availability to travel for work.
  • Be fluent in English and Portuguese (written and spoken) with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be able to present complicated issues in an understandable way
  • Show exceptional analytical/critical thinking skills and a well-developed commercial acumen.


Desirable


  • Understand Project Management best practices like as described by PMI.
  • Knowledge of a project development under ANP rules – documentation, financials, reports and etc.
  • Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven experience in Project development stages or Oil&Gas subsea project execution
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/project simultaneously and work to tight schedules and deadlines.
