Key Responsibilities

Configure, deploy, and operate Cisco 9000 series switches, Palo Alto firewalls, Fortigate firewalls, Aruba access points, and Aruba ClearPass.
Set up, manage, and troubleshoot VPN solutions (IPSec/SSL) across Fortigate and Palo Alto platforms.
Perform network setup, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure high availability and security.
Support network tech refresh projects, including hardware/software upgrades and migrations.
Implement and maintain network security best practices, including firewall policies, NAC, and vulnerability remediation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application and system integration with network infrastructure.
Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, processes, and operational procedures.
Provide on-call support and perform patches/upgrades during approved maintenance windows.
Assist with system-related tasks such as Windows/Linux server administration, virtualization (VMware/Nutanix), and backup solutions when required.
Participate in audits, compliance reporting, and inventory management using ITSM tools.

Qualifications

Education:

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience

Hands-on experience with Cisco 9000 series switches, Palo Alto firewalls, FortiGate firewalls, Aruba access points, and Aruba ClearPass.
Strong knowledge of VPN setup and management (IPSec, SSL).
Solid understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and security concepts.
Familiarity with Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022) and Linux/Unix systems is a plus.
Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware, Nutanix).
Experience with backup/recovery tools (e.g., Commvault, NetBackup).
Exposure to patch management tools (e.g., BMC, WSUS).
Prior work experience in a regulated environment preferred.

Certifications (Preferred)

Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP).
Palo Alto Networks certifications (e.g., PCNSA, PCNSE).
Fortinet certifications (e.g., NSE4, NSE5).
Aruba certifications (e.g., ACMA, ACCA, ClearPass Specialist).
Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE).
VMware/Nutanix certifications (VCP, NCP).
ITIL Foundation.

Skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and perform effectively under pressure.
