About the job:

We are looking for an AI Engineer who will serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AI within our R&D organization. This is a high-impact, hands-on technical role. You will manage architectures, workflows, and standards. Your goal is to support our engineers by building the "internal AI backbone" designing agentic systems, optimizing pipelines, and ensuring our developers have the most sophisticated AI tooling available to ship high-quality code at speed.

What you will do:

• Building and shipping agentic workflows and driving AI adoption across engineering teams with an focus on agentic system design and MCP servers to improve RnD Velocity
• Build and assist teams with customized RAG pipelines, MCP servers, and dedicated AI tools tailored to each team's specific needs
• Set up and maintain local AI agents, developer assistants, and lightweight tools (e.g., Ollama, OpenClaw) to enhance productivity
• Manage routing layers (e.g., LiteLLM) to standardize API calls and securely route all external traffic through AWS Bedrock or Azure AI Foundry
• Track token consumption, API latency, and overall AI spend to identify system bottlenecks and ensure cost-effective usage

What you will bring:

• Deep familiarity with AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot
• Engineering background to understand code and workflows
• Advanced Python experience (FastAPI, REST/gRPC API design)
• Hands-on deployment using vLLM, Ollama, or Hugging Face TGI
• Managing API proxies and standardized routing using LiteLLM or Kong AI
• Secure integration and compliance routing via AWS Bedrock and Azure AI Foundry
• Building RAG architectures using LangChain or LlamaIndex
• Containerization (Docker), Linux CLI, Git, and CI/CD basics
