Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive, strategic, and detail-oriented Product Manager to drive our product strategy and Go-to-Market execution in the Netherlands market. This is a key role in which you will act as the main point of contact for all product-related matters, from market research and product planning to successful vehicle launches and lifecycle management.

You will be responsible for defining the product roadmap, understanding market needs, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring our vehicles meet both customer expectations and commercial objectives. Working closely with Chery International, local sales and marketing teams, dealers, and external partners, you will help shape the success of OMODA & JAECOO in the Dutch market.


Key Responsibilities


Product Strategy & Planning

  • Serve as the product expert for OMODA & JAECOO in the Netherlands market.
  • Define the product roadmap, including model lineups, trim levels, option packs, pricing strategies, and positioning to maximize market share and profitability.
  • Conduct “Value-to-Market” analysis to ensure the right balance between customer expectations, product offering, and commercial competitiveness.
  • Ensure alignment between global product strategy and local market requirements.


Go-to-Market Strategy & Product Launch Management

  • Lead the end-to-end Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy and execution for new vehicle launches.
  • Define and manage launch roadmaps, timelines, and readiness across all stakeholders.
  • Coordinate all launch activities, including press fleet readiness, media and dealer reveal events, showroom preparation, and sales activation.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales teams to create compelling product presentations, launch materials, and commercial communication strategies.
  • Ensure all departments are aligned and fully prepared for successful product introductions.


Market Research & Competitive Intelligence

  • Conduct comprehensive market research on consumer trends, competitor activities, pricing strategies, and regulatory developments within the Dutch automotive market.
  • Perform win/loss analysis and competitor benchmarking to identify market opportunities and risks.
  • Monitor customer behavior, vehicle usage habits, preferences, pain points, and unmet needs through interviews, surveys, focus groups, dealer feedback, and user scenario analysis.
  • Develop user profiles, demand reports, and actionable insights to support product definition, brand communication, and configuration optimization.


External Ecosystem & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including research agencies, insurance rating agencies, homologation authorities, certification institutions, and other industry partners.
  • Proactively support Residual Value (RV) performance by ensuring accurate product positioning, market storytelling, and vehicle representation within the market.
  • Liaise with insurance and market research agencies to help secure competitive insurance groupings and improve Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for customers.
  • Act as a strategic bridge between the company and the dealer network, ensuring retailers have the necessary tools, product knowledge, commercial support, and stock visibility to sell effectively.


Cross-Functional Coordination & Operations

  • Act as the key cross-functional lead between Product, After-sales, Logistics, Marketing, Sales, and HQ teams.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between departments to support operational readiness and product success.
  • Coordinate homologation progress and maintain relationships with certification bodies and regulatory institutions.
  • Be responsible for new vehicle certification activities, including testing coordination where required.
  • Monitor changes in automotive laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.


Training & Product Support

  • Develop and deliver product training for dealer networks, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all relevant teams have a strong understanding of vehicle features, positioning, customer benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Support dealers and internal teams with product-related expertise and market insights.


Product Lifecycle & Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor product performance post-launch through sales analysis, market feedback, and performance tracking.
  • Manage product lifecycle activities, including model year updates, configuration optimization, and mid-cycle refreshes.
  • Gather customer, dealer, and market feedback to support continuous product improvement and future planning.
  • Provide regular reporting and strategic recommendations based on market intelligence and product performance.


Experience

  • Preferably 5+ years of experience within the automotive industry.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a Product Manager or similar product-focused role.
  • Proven experience managing Go-to-Market strategies and new product launches within the automotive sector is highly preferred.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, After-sales, Logistics, and external stakeholders.


Industry Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of the automotive market, including product lifecycle management, vehicle positioning, pricing strategies, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Knowledge of residual value dynamics, dealer network operations, homologation, and customer ownership costs is considered a strong advantage.


Analytical & Strategic Skills

  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret market data, sales performance, consumer insights, and competitor intelligence to make informed strategic decisions.
  • Experience conducting market research, customer analysis, and post-launch performance evaluations.


Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including technical experts, sales teams, dealers, agencies, and international headquarters.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills with a proactive and hands-on mindset.


Language

  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Dutch is required.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
