We are now entering the next stage of scale.

To help drive this forward, we are looking for an exceptional Senior Software Architect & Engineering Lead who wants to build, move fast, solve hard problems, and play a major role in shaping the future of the platform.

This is not a maintenance role.

This is not a heavily layered corporate engineering environment.

And this is not a role for someone who needs constant direction.

We are looking for a high-agency builder.

You’ll work directly with the CEO and leadership team across architecture, infrastructure, deployment systems, platform scalability, AI-assisted workflows, and product evolution.

You will have significant influence over technical direction, engineering standards, tooling, infrastructure, and execution.

This role is ideal for someone who feels capable of more than their current environment allows — someone who wants real responsibility, real autonomy, and the opportunity to grow into a major technical leadership role as the company scales.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable frontend and backend systems powering the Cubbie platform
• Lead architecture decisions across applications, APIs, infrastructure, databases, and deployment pipelines
• Develop and release new features quickly in response to operational and customer needs
• Improve platform reliability, monitoring, scalability, and performance
• Use modern AI-assisted development workflows to increase engineering speed and quality
• Collaborate with product, operations, and leadership teams to deliver impactful solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across the full stack
• Mentor junior developers and help establish strong engineering standards and practices
• Drive improvements in CI/CD, testing, deployment automation, and development workflows
• Contribute to the long-term technical roadmap of the company

What We’re Looking For

Core Experience

• Strong experience building modern web applications using React, React Native, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• Strong backend development experience with Node.js and API development
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable software architectures
• Strong understanding of databases, data modelling, system integrations, and cloud infrastructure
• Experience deploying and maintaining production-grade applications
• Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and deployments
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
