DevOps Engineer

Clearance Requirements: Active Top Secret

Location: Washington, DC (On-Site)

Position Description:

We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to support a high-profile Department of Justice project in Washington, DC. This on-site role requires managing and automating cloud infrastructure, deploying Kubernetes applications, and overseeing server administration within a secure AWS environment. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in AWS, Kubernetes, Linux administration, and automation tools, with a passion for advancing in the DevOps space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage Kubernetes applications across multiple environments
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for container updates, infrastructure rollouts, and application launches
• Automate Linux and Windows server administration tasks to increase efficiency and reliability
• Support and optimize AWS cloud environments, ensuring they meet security and compliance standards
• Collaborate with technical teams to improve infrastructure scalability, security, and automation processes

Required Qualifications:

• Active Top Secret Clearance (must be active prior to start)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 2+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Systems Administrator
• Proven hands-on experience with AWS cloud environments and administration
• Strong knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or AWS Systems Manager
• Proficiency in Linux administration, shell scripting, and Windows PowerShell
• Expertise in containers and container orchestration technologies, especially Kubernetes

Pay Range: $60-$70/hr
