About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer with at least five years of experience in software development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in designing, developing, and integrating complex software systems within government environments. This role requires a deep understanding of web application development, system integration, and security protocols. The successful applicant will support the development and enhancement of our current application portfolio, contribute to future application strategies, and ensure seamless integration of custom applications across diverse networks and platforms. Additionally, this position offers an opportunity to work on high-impact projects that directly support national security initiatives, requiring a proactive approach to troubleshooting, performance optimization, and security compliance.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five years of professional experience in software development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; relevant experience or certifications may substitute for formal education.
• Proven expertise in .Net Web Forms and MVC web application development using C#.
• Experience with Object Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks such as Entity Framework.
• Strong front-end development skills utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as JQuery, Angular, and React.
• Hands-on experience with source code repositories and CI/CD pipelines, including Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and GitHub.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance is mandatory.
• Ability to support, review, and troubleshoot system security, applications, and data exchange processes, ensuring portability and flexibility.
• Experience integrating custom applications into multiple networks and domains, resolving incompatibilities, and maintaining optimal system performance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using .Net technologies, including Web Forms and MVC frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement system integrations, ensuring compatibility and security compliance.
• Support the government in managing and expanding the current application portfolio, providing technical guidance and support for future applications.
• Assist in the development of system architecture and integration strategies to enhance application portability, flexibility, and interoperability across disparate systems.
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot malfunctions, and resolve incompatibilities to ensure optimal application performance and security.
• Implement front-end features using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Manage source code repositories and CI/CD pipelines to streamline development workflows and deployment processes.
• Maintain awareness of security protocols and best practices, ensuring all systems meet mandated security standards.
• Participate in regular security assessments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system resilience.
• Document technical specifications, system configurations, and development procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
