Job Title: IT Engineer
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: Head of PMO
Job Purpose:
As an IT Engineer, you will design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot IT systems, networks, and infrastructure across all business units within the Group.
You will ensure the functionality, security, and efficiency of the organization’s technology infrastructure, supporting smooth business operations and resolving technical issues related to systems, networks, cloud environments, and cybersecurity.
Responsibilities:
1. IT Infrastructure & System Administration
- Manage and maintain enterprise hardware, software, servers, and network infrastructure.
- Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, and lifecycle management of IT systems.
- Support virtualization platforms, server environments, and enterprise applications to maintain high system availability.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, system health, and network reliability.
2. Cloud & Hybrid Environment Management
- Administer and support cloud-based productivity and collaboration platforms within hybrid IT environments.
- Assist in cloud integration, infrastructure modernization, and deployment of new technologies.
- Support resource provisioning, cloud migrations, and operational scalability initiatives.
3. IT Security & Compliance
- Implement IT security policies, access controls, and operational procedures to safeguard organizational infrastructure and business data.
- Manage firewall configurations, VPN access, endpoint protection, and email security solutions.
- Ensure adherence to cybersecurity best practices and support continuous improvement of the organization’s security posture.
4. System Maintenance & Operational Support
- Perform regular system maintenance, updates, patch management, and preventive troubleshooting.
- Manage backup operations, disaster recovery procedures, and business continuity measures.
- Provide technical support to users by resolving hardware, software, connectivity, and application-related issues efficiently.
5. Network & Connectivity Management
- Manage network infrastructure components including connectivity, wireless solutions, remote access, and communication systems.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity or infrastructure-related issues.
- Support network security and ensure stable and secure communication environments.
6. Automation & Digital Workplace Solutions
- Utilize AI-powered productivity and automation tools to improve operational workflows and administrative efficiency.
- Support digital workplace and knowledge management platforms to enhance collaboration and communication.
- Assist in workflow optimization and infrastructure process improvements.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Vendor Coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate new technologies and systems into the existing infrastructure.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for procurement, maintenance, and project implementation.
- Support office infrastructure setup, IT asset deployment, and employee onboarding/offboarding processes.
8. Documentation & Reporting
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and infrastructure records.
- Document IT procedures, configurations, and support processes to maintain operational knowledge.
- Prepare performance reports and provide recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in IT support, system administration, network administration, or a similar role.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals are preferred.
- Experience working with enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and network management environments is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and related technologies.
- Experience with server administration, virtualization technologies, and infrastructure monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, endpoint protection, and cybersecurity practices.
- Experience in backup management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Understanding of automation tools, PowerShell scripting, and workflow optimization.
