Position - Backend Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with strong experience in Node.js to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing scalable backend services, APIs, and server-side applications while ensuring high performance, security, and reliability of systems.

The role requires strong problem-solving abilities, hands-on coding expertise, and experience working in fast-paced development environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Node.js


• Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices


• Integrate third-party APIs, databases, and external systems


• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability


• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps teams, and product stakeholders


• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices


• Troubleshoot and debug backend issues in development and production environments


• Implement security and data protection standards


• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions


• Maintain technical documentation for backend systems and integrations

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript


• Experience building REST APIs and backend services


• Good understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture


• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Redis


• Familiarity with Express.js or similar Node.js frameworks


• Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, etc.)


• Knowledge of Git version control and CI/CD workflows


• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage


• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized environments is a plus


• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field


• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments


• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems


• Familiarity with messaging queues such as RabbitMQ or Kafka is an added advantage
