Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager with a strong background in construction and engineering projects. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, and supply chain operations, preferably within the construction or engineering industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring timely delivery of materials, equipment, and project-related shipments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all logistics and transportation activities related to construction and engineering projects.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping agents, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Handle import/export documentation, customs clearance, and shipment tracking.
  • Plan and monitor delivery schedules for construction materials, machinery, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international logistics regulations and safety standards.
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with logistics service providers and vendors.
  • Monitor logistics costs and implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintain proper inventory control and warehouse coordination.
  • Resolve shipment delays, transportation issues, and operational challenges in a timely manner.
  • Prepare logistics reports and provide regular updates to management.
  • Support project teams by ensuring materials and equipment are delivered as per project timelines.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
  • Prior experience in construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, shipping, customs clearance, and transportation management.
  • Experience in handling international and local logistics operations.
  • Good understanding of project logistics and material coordination.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems/SAP is preferred.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in the GCC region.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, and international trade regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
