Data Scientist

At TMC (The Member Company), we are supporting the growth of an international Tech Hub based in Lisbon and are looking for a Data Scientist to support data‑driven decision making.

This role is ideal for a data professional with strong technical and business understanding, particularly in digital marketing and B2C environments, capable of turning data into clear and impactful insights.

🔧 Your Role

• Develop and deploy machine learning models
• Translate business needs into data science use cases
• Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns, trends and opportunities
• Collaborate with data engineering, product and business teams
• Support the deployment and monitoring of models
• Improve model performance and data quality over time
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders

✅ What We Are Looking For

Technical Background

• Strong experience with Python and data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn)
• Solid knowledge of machine learning techniques
• Experience with data preparation, feature engineering and model evaluation
• Good knowledge of SQL and large-scale data handling
• Experience in cloud environments (Azure, AWS or GCP)
• Understanding of data pipelines and model deployment processes

🎯 Key Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Science
• Proven track record delivering end-to-end data solutions
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in:
• Digital marketing environments
• B2C contexts (e.g., e-commerce, marketplaces, customer analytics)

🌱 Nice to Have

• Experience with MLOps practices
• Familiarity with Big Data tools (e.g., Spark)
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau or similar)
