Network Engineer

Location: Toronto Office

Contract

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days per week in office)

Primary Skills

Network firewalls, routers, switches, NAC, and Wi‑Fi

Network routing and switching

Network protocols: BGP, OSPF (multi-area), IPSEC VPN

Essential Skills

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working with enterprise campus and data center networks, including 3-tier and spine-and-leaf architectures

Experience with network firewalls, routers, switches, NAC, and Wi‑Fi

Hands-on experience with network protocols including BGP, OSPF (multi-area), and IPSEC VPN (static and dynamic)

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams configuration, including Teams devices (Rooms, Phones), call queues, call forwarding, and related features

Experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting technologies such as:

Cisco ISE, Cisco Meraki

FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyser

ADVPN, SD-WAN

Cisco switches (Catalyst and Nexus)

VSS, FHRP, vPC

802.1x, 802.1q, 802.3ad

RADIUS, QoS, SNMP

Experience using network analysis and monitoring tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, and SolarWinds

Desirable / Additional Skills

Experience with RightFax (cloud)

Experience with Python or PowerShell

Network certifications such as Fortinet NSE4/NSE7, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, MS‑720, or similar

Experience with WAN routing, LAN switching, and firewall administration/security management

Experience Level

6–10 years of relevant network engineering experience
