Unijobs on behalf of our Public Sector Client is currently recruiting for Project Managers (HEO level) based in Dublin 1 (primarily onsite). These roles will support the delivery of key projects under a national capital programme. The positions will be offered on a specified purpose/contract basis. Contract Duration: Initial contract running until December 2027, with a salary of approximately €80,000.

Purpose of the Post
To support the management and delivery of capital and accommodation projects within the Estate Management function of a public sector body, ensuring the provision of safe, modern, and efficient facilities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate and drive individual projects under a national capital programme
- Draft briefs of requirements and all documentation for the pre-planning phase of projects
- Co-ordinate feasibility studies, site assessments, and master-planning reviews
- Review technical drawings and designs to ensure compliance with operational requirements and building regulations
- Take responsibility for assigned projects, identifying opportunities to improve design, safety, quality, and value
- Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, particularly the OPW
- Assist in the development and delivery of capital and regional projects
- Collaborate with design teams and provide feedback on plans and layouts
- Represent the Estate Management function at meetings, working groups, and stakeholder engagements
- Manage day-to-day accommodation and maintenance issues
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Liaise with OPW, contractors, and other parties to ensure timely project delivery
- Make informed decisions on project requirements and associated costs to ensure value for public expenditure
- Provide regular updates and reports on project progress
- Draft briefing notes and other documentation as required
- Assist in budget management and financial processes related to projects
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security policies

- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Proficiency in IT systems, including MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience managing stakeholders and building effective working relationships
Essential Requirements
- Full driver’s licence and access to a car
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results
- Strong written, verbal, and numerical skills
Desirable Requirements
- Experience in estate or facilities management
- Qualification in a construction-related discipline (e.g. architecture, engineering, quantity surveying)
- Knowledge or experience of project management methodologies
