About the Role

We’re looking for an AI Research Engineer to work on the development of next-generation deep learning models and training systems, contributing to cutting-edge AI capabilities used in real-world applications.

You’ll work at the intersection of research and engineering, helping design, train, and optimise advanced models while collaborating closely with AI scientists, infrastructure teams, and product engineers.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy pushing the boundaries of modern AI systems while still maintaining a strong focus on scalability and production readiness.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Development of advanced deep learning architectures
• Training and optimisation of large-scale transformer models
• Experimentation with new approaches in:
• representation learning
• multimodal systems
• model efficiency and scalability
• Building scalable training pipelines for high-performance AI workloads

Key Responsibilities

• Design, train, and evaluate deep learning models using modern ML frameworks
• Develop and optimise training pipelines for large-scale models
• Work on distributed training and GPU-based workloads
• Improve model performance, efficiency, and inference capabilities
• Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to support scalable AI systems
• Contribute to experimentation, benchmarking, and technical research initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years experience in AI, machine learning, or deep learning engineering
• Strong Python and experience with PyTorch
• Experience working with transformer architectures and modern deep learning techniques
• Hands-on experience with distributed training environments
• Strong understanding of model optimisation and training workflows

Nice to Have

• Experience with multimodal models or generative AI systems
• Familiarity with CUDA, GPU optimisation, or high-performance ML infrastructure
• Experience working with large datasets and scalable training pipelines
• Background in applied research or advanced AI experimentation
