Overview
We are looking for an Embedded Software Architect Lead to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced automotive software solutions for next-generation connected and autonomous vehicles. This is a hybrid role, requiring presence in the Bucharest office 2–3 days per week.
About project
As vehicles become increasingly connected and autonomous, embedded software plays a critical role in enabling innovative automotive functionalities and intelligent driving systems. In this role, you will work on real-world driver integration and embedded software development within the automotive industry, including autonomous vehicle technologies.
You will collaborate with global teams in a dynamic international environment and actively participate in formal automotive software development processes, contributing to the design, architecture, and delivery of high-quality embedded solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and configure AUTOSAR stacks, including BSW, MCAL, and RTE, using tools such as EB Tresos or Vector DaVinci;
- Develop, integrate, and optimize embedded software for automotive ECUs using C/C++;
- Implement and maintain communication stacks including CAN, CAN-FD, Ethernet, and LIN;
- Collaborate with global software developers, application engineers, project managers, and customers;
- Perform unit and component testing activities (HIL/SIL), investigate system-level issues, and support on-chip debugging using tools such as Lauterbach, CANoe, and CANalyzer;
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring for junior engineers in software design activities while supporting compliance with ASPICE and ISO26262 standards.
Requirements
- Programming experience in C/C++ and Python;
- Familiarity with embedded operating systems;
- Knowledge of software debugging tools, environments, and methodologies;
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken;
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural environment;
- Engaged, committed, and eager to continuously learn independently;
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.
Nice to have
- Experience with NXP’s MPUs/MCUs is considered an advantage;
- Understanding of Agile software development methodologies is a plus.
