Contract - Initial 12 Months

Hybrid, Dublin

My client, a multinational financial services company is on the lookout for a Python Developer on an initial 12 month contract with view for extension.

The Job:

• Senior Python/Java Developer role with a large, prestigious financial services company based in Dublin
• Long-term contract with an attractive daily rate and excellent extension potential
• Work on high-impact, enterprise-level projects involving high-performance server-side applications and very large volumes of data
• Join a collaborative environment focused on delivering robust, scalable solutions within the Investment Banking domain
• Opportunity to utilise strong Python development skills alongside modern practices in a senior capacity

Have You:

• 5+ years of relevant IT software development experience across the full SDLC
• Strong, proven programming ability in Python (including OO programming and design patterns)
• Solid database development experience (DB2, SQL Server, NoSQL, Sybase, or Oracle preferred)
• Demonstrated experience building high-performance server-side applications that handle very large data volumes
• Track record of working on large-scale enterprise projects
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment (preferred)
• React experience (advantage)
• Investment Banking domain knowledge, particularly in Risk or product areas (strong advantage)
