Systems Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Develop and continuously improve software for industrial automation systems.

• Design, develop, integrate, troubleshoot, and optimize various automation solutions.

• Define and develop software architecture for new concepts involving automation and robotics.

• Deep dive into vendor software to ensure seamless integration into the existing architecture.

• Test and commission developed software on machines in innovation centers and operational sites.

• Write requirements and technical specifications, conduct technical reviews, and report on progress.

What You'll Need

• Advanced technical expertise in industrial automation systems (TIA Portal, Codesys 3.5, HMI, VFDs, Servo Drives, Industrial Fieldbuses).

• Expertise in industrial communication protocols (TCP-IP, OPC-UA).

• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and diagnostic abilities for complex systems.

• Experience with software development at the machine level in Industrial Automation.

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Object-Orientated Industrial Programming (OOIP).

• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).
