Ofgem
The energy regulator for Great Britain, https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/about-us/working-ofgem
Requirements of the role
We’re offering a permanent role with the chance to work on exciting digital projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to both brand-new technologies and established systems, developing valuable technical experience across a wide range of digital services. You’ll be part of work that directly supports our mission to deliver greener, fairer outcomes for consumers and the environment.
You’ll join a supportive and varied delivery environment where no two days are the same, working across innovative schemes and digital platforms that make a real difference. From greenfield development through to improving and maintaining existing applications, you’ll contribute to work that is both technically engaging and highly impactful.
We’re looking for someone with a strong interest in software development and experience working with core technologies such as C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server, alongside an understanding of debugging and fault diagnosis. You’ll bring an organised and proactive approach, with the ability to manage development tasks and problem resolution effectively, as well as an eagerness to build your knowledge across modern development tools, cloud technologies and Agile delivery environments.
In return, you’ll benefit from flexible working opportunities, on-the-job training, and support to help you grow your technical capability and career ambitions. You’ll join a welcoming and diverse team culture where collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement are encouraged, and where your ideas and contributions will be valued from day one.
We have a critical purpose to develop and support digital solutions that help power the transition to a cleaner, more secure energy future. Join us in driving innovation across the energy sector while supporting the delivery of vital schemes that benefit consumers and communities across the UK.
