R&D Research Associate

Exciting opportunity to join a team supporting lab-scale upstream bioprocessing activities across commercial and clinical biologics programs. This role will suit someone with hands-on microbial fermentation/cell culture experience and a strong scientific and collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support lab-scale upstream studies including E. coli cell culture, seed train expansion and fermentation activities.
• Perform process monitoring, sampling and in-process analytical testing in a multi-product lab environment.
• Generate, analyse and document scientific data in accordance with GLP/GxP and SOP requirements.
• Support troubleshooting, process optimisation and updates to technical documentation/SOPs.

Requirements:

• Degree in Science or Engineering with 1+ year pharmaceutical or strong laboratory experience.
• Hands-on experience with aseptic techniques, microbial cell culture and fermentation processes.
• Understanding of GMP/GLP and biologics manufacturing processes; downstream/filtration knowledge desirable.
