Linguist (Russian Language)

This position is based at Keywords International Limited HQ located on the Ground Floor, The Hive, Carmanhall Road, Sandyford Business Park, Dublin 18, D18 Y2C9, Ireland.

This is a unique opportunity to join a team focused on community and in-game content for a leading social games publisher.

The role involves translating and trans creating player support, community, and in-game content from English into Russian for mobile games.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for testing, identifying, and reporting bugs, as well as suggesting fixes for issues related to language, text implementation, and user interface (UI).

This role requires excellent language skills, creativity, and a passion for games.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Translate and trans create in-game, player support, and community content from English into Russian to a high-quality standard
• Perform quality assurance (QA) tasks across various types of published content (games, websites, etc.)
• Take responsibility for all linguistic aspects of assigned translations to ensure the highest quality standards are met
• Suggest process improvements to support optimal translation quality
• Collaborate with linguists in other languages to achieve shared quality objectives
  
  

Requirements

• Native-level Russian speaker
• Passion for the games industry
• Degree or qualification in linguistics or translation (or related field)
• Experience in translation, copywriting, or linguistics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Russian and English
• Strong PC skills, including proficiency in MS Office (basic knowledge of Excel, or willingness to learn)
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with CAT tools (e.g. Memsource/Phrase, MemoQ) is an advantage
