DevOps Engineer

We are hiring for Senior Site Reliability DevOps Engineer - EL1 Level for our Federal Government client.

Contract Duration – 12 months + 24 months extensions

Work Location -Canberra and Melbourne (first 3 months work fulltime onsite, thereafter work days from office and 3 days from home each week)

Security Clearance - NV1

Mandatory Skills:

Develop, monitor and maintain departmental platform

• Design and operate in‑house observability and monitoring

• Build Grafana dashboards, alerts and visualisations

• Administer and optimise MySQL/Postgres (tuning, backup, recovery)

• Fluent in Java, Clojure and bash

• Understanding of networking

• Administration of Linux/Windows servers and applications

• Build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines

• Apply security hardening measures

• Support incident response, RCA and documentation
