Your role
Are you a passionate software engineer with a strong focus on delivery? We’re looking for someone like that to strengthen our Name and Media Screening engineering team and
· Develop and maintain Java based applications
· Drive continuous integration and improvements
· Drive architecture, standards and guidelines for a globally deployed software solution
· Support product management driving the product roadmap
· Work closely with the rest of the pod to ensure delivery of a robust and sustainable solution meeting business requirements with consideration of user experience and ensure alignment to the organizational guidelines, principles, standards and processes.
· Work closely with and advise Business Analysts, Testers and Management on all technical matters
Your team
You will work in a highly collaborative environment with colleagues from globally diverse backgrounds and skillsets coming together to solve challenging problems as a team. You’ll be based in Krakow in Poland collaborating and co-located with a strong NMS Product Owner team (also in Krakow) who are part of our Agile Delivery Organization, and with the Name and Media Screening ADO and technology team globally. Our Agile Delivery Crew is part of GCRG’s (Group Compliance and Regulatory Governance) Client Compliance Stream. Our Crew’s mission is to design and develop and integrate Anti Money Laundering / Know Your Client solutions to protect UBS from the risk of Financial Crime.
Your expertise
· 4+ years of experience developing Java applications (Spring framework would be a plus)
· Solid SQL database skills (ideally Oracle and experience working with Mongo DB would be a plus)
· Knowledge of UBS SDLC platforms and processes including as REX (release executor); the RFC process and GSNOW/Atlas
· Comfortable in a Linux based server environment incl. bash (shell) scripting
· Familiarity with MS Azure Cloud platforms and knowledge of Databricks, Denodo would be beneficial
· Familiar with DevOps tools, such as Git, GitLab Pipelines, Nexus, Ansible, RPM packaging would be beneficial
· Good understanding of all aspects of the application development (SDLC) and support life cycle
· Well-developed business communication skills – both written and verbal and experience working as part of a global team
· Strong personal prioritization and time management
· Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure things out).
