.NET Developer (API & Microservices)

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Your Profile & DNA:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated .NET Developer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with the Microsoft .NET platform and a passion for developing scalable APIs, microservices, and modern web applications.

This role involves working closely with cross-functional Agile teams to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions. The candidate should be comfortable working across backend and frontend technologies, have exposure to cloud and DevOps practices, and possess a strong interest in test automation and clean coding principles.

Roles & Responsibilities

Backend Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices using Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Build secure, high-performance, and maintainable backend solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Develop RESTful services and support system integrations across enterprise applications.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.

Frontend Development

• Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using modern frontend frameworks such as:
• Vue.js
• Angular
• React
• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to deliver intuitive and high-quality user experiences.
• Ensure frontend applications are optimized for performance and usability.

DevOps & Source Control

• Work with Azure DevOps for:
• Build pipelines
• Release management
• Work item tracking
• CI/CD processes
• Use Git for version control, branching strategies, and collaborative development.
• Support deployment and monitoring activities across development and production environments.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Write clean, reusable, and testable code following best practices.
• Contribute to test automation initiatives and improve software quality standards.
• Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
• Apply or learn Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
• Ensure software reliability, scalability, and maintainability through automated testing practices.

Agile Collaboration

• Work effectively within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Participate in:
• Sprint planning
• Daily stand-ups
• Backlog refinement
• Sprint reviews
• Retrospectives
• Collaborate closely with developers, architects, testers, product owners, and business stakeholders.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong experience with the Microsoft .NET platform.
• Hands-on experience developing:

APIs

Microservices

• Strong programming experience in:
• C#

.NET Core / .NET Framework

• Experience with:

Azure DevOps

Git version control

• Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as:

Vue.js

Angular

React

• Understanding of modern software development practices and Agile methodologies.
• Testing & Quality
• Interest in or experience with:

Test automation

Unit testing

Integration testing

TDD (Test-Driven Development)

• Strong focus on code quality, maintainability, and performance.
