AI/ML Technology Specialist (Senior)

We are looking for an AI/ML Technology Specialist (Senior) to strengthen the Cronos Europa team.

The project operates within a European financial institution, characterized by a robust regulatory framework that governs all technological solutions and implementations. The environment requires adherence to stringent compliance standards, necessitating a meticulous approach to both technical and operational deliverables. The role will be integrated within a cross-functional, high-performing team dedicated to advancing the institution's AI capabilities, ensuring collaboration with various stakeholders from IT to compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain LLM-based solution components, focusing on retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures, optimization techniques, chunking strategies, vector indexing, and reranking pipelines.
  • Develop and stabilize platform-level capabilities to include unified API interfaces, model routing, broker logic, session/conversation persistence, and shared workspace infrastructure.
  • Build and extend agentic orchestration components, covering aspects such as agent lifecycle management, tool integration, guardrail implementation, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Implement and maintain Managed Cloud Platform (MCP) server integrations and connector modules for enterprise systems (e.g., GED/OpenText, SharePoint, Jira), ensuring secure access patterns and robust error handling mechanisms.
  • Develop and sustain data ingestion, transformation, and indexing pipelines that align with AI Search and AI Foundry services while respecting enterprise data classification and access control requirements.
  • Contribute to MLOps practices across development, user acceptance testing, and production environments, focusing on CI/CD pipelines, containerization, infrastructure-as-code, and automated deployment strategies for model and platform components.
  • Ensure all technical deliverables comply with enterprise architecture standards and align with the Azure Landing Zone configuration, while valuing AWS-compatible design patterns where applicable.
  • Operate within a highly regulated environment, applying security-by-design principles while documenting architectural decisions and supporting interactions with InfoSec and DPO processes.
  • Produce comprehensive technical documentation, structured progress reports, and actively contribute to internal knowledge transfer initiatives within the AI Division.

Technical Skills

  • Proven record of delivering AI platform components or LLM-based solutions within regulated industries such as financial services or the public sector.
  • Strong experience with LLM orchestration and agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel), including tool integration and guardrail mechanisms.
  • Demonstrated delivery on Azure native services including APIM, Container Apps, AI Foundry, AI Search, and Function Apps.
  • Practical experience in MCP server design and enterprise connector implementation (e.g., OpenText, SharePoint, Jira).
  • Solid command of containerization, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Bicep), and CI/CD practices across development, user acceptance testing, and production environments.
  • Prior experience delivering AI solutions in heavily regulated environments while applying security-by-design principles and producing InfoSec-compliant documentation.
  • Familiarity with AWS exposure and Azure AI Engineer certification is considered an asset.

  • Strong teamwork orientation, capable of collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient stakeholder management skills, facilitating engagement across various department levels.
  • A proactive approach to knowledge transfer and sharing insights to foster team growth and capability enhancement.

PROFILE

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, data science or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the role.
  • Fluency in English is required, French is a strong asset.
