.NET Software Engineer (Contract)

€35–€50/hour

6-month contract (extendable)

We’re working with a large international organisation delivering high-impact, customer-facing digital solutions used daily across multiple markets. You’ll join a cross-functional squad owning end-to-end delivery of key user journeys, with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and scalability.

The role

You’ll be responsible for improving and evolving an existing codebase while contributing to new feature development. This is a hands-on engineering role with real ownership across the full lifecycle, from design and development through to production releases and incident handling.

What you’ll be doing

• Refactoring and simplifying complex systems to improve maintainability
• Designing and building cloud-native services and features
• Developing backend services using .NET (and some Java where relevant)
• Writing high-quality, testable code and contributing to CI/CD pipelines
• Supporting production releases and resolving incidents when needed
• Collaborating closely with engineers and mentoring more junior team members

What they’re looking for

• 5+ years experience with .NET and backend development
• Strong experience with ASP.NET, Dapper, and relational databases (MSSQL/MySQL)
• Familiarity with Redis, Elasticsearch, or similar technologies
• Experience building cloud-native applications (AWS or similar is a plus)
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and modern development workflows
• Strong ownership mindset and focus on code quality
• Comfortable working in collaborative, cross-functional teams

Nice to have

• Experience with Java
• Exposure to Azure DevOps or similar tooling
• Background in distributed systems or software architecture
