Artificial Intelligence Engineer

We’re partnering with a leading global financial institution to build an AI engineering team in South Dublin (hybrid model: 3 days onsite per week). Looking for a Senior AI Engineer / Python AI Engineer for an initial 6–18 month contract.

This newly formed team will focus on moving beyond traditional chatbot experiences to design, develop, and deploy next-generation Agentic AI systems and autonomous workflows. As a founding engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping early Proof of Concepts (PoCs), core architecture, and scalable AI solutions that address complex financial services challenges.

What You’ll Do

• Architect advanced Agentic AI systems, including multi-agent frameworks, cognitive routing loops, and human-in-the-loop validation processes.
• Build durable, fault-tolerant workflows capable of supporting long-running AI tasks and recovering seamlessly from interruptions.
• Develop greenfield AI applications using clean, production-grade Python code, taking solutions from experimentation through to enterprise deployment.
• Collaborate closely with engineering leadership and stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-impact R&D environment.

What We’re Looking For

We understand this is an evolving and highly innovative space. If you’ve worked with similar architectures or equivalent technologies, we’d still love to hear from you.

• Strong Python expertise and hands-on experience with LLM frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
• Experience designing stateful, cyclic, or multi-agent AI systems.
• Solid background in durable execution or orchestration platforms such as Temporal, Cadence, Inngest, or AWS Step Functions.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and backend design patterns, including Event-Driven Architecture, State Machines, Idempotency, and Saga patterns.
• Previous experience in high-security, high-scale environments such as FinTech, Banking, or Enterprise SaaS is highly desirable.
