Java Developer
6 month contract initially
Based in Germany - MUST be a resident of Germany
€550 per day b2b
MUST Speak C1 German Minimum
• Development of upscaling web services in the area of recommendation systems
• Optimization of recommendation algorithms for a digital product in the news sector
• Design, development and documentation of API interfaces
• Setting up, executing and evaluating A/B tests
Requirements for the provision of services:
• In-depth knowledge of Kotlin (alternatively Java), as well as relevant frameworks and libraries
• Good command of cloud-based development in Kotlin, GCP and AWS (e.g. GCP Dataflow, AWS Sagemaker, s3, ec2, ecr/ecs, lambda)
• Web services in high-load operation
• Test-driven development, clean code, design patterns
• Advantageous: Knowledge of Python, especially data processing and modeling (numpy, matplotlib, pandas, etc)
• Advantageous: Knowledge of vector databases and their use in a Kotlin application (e.g. Opensearch, Qdrant, Pinecone)
