Information Security Intern (m/f/d)

Get hands-on experience in keeping our organization secure! As an Information Security Intern, you’ll support the CISO in protecting people, information, and systems, while learning how security works in practice, and contributing to various security activities and projects. This is a great opportunity to explore information security, security awareness, supply chain security, risk management, and compliance.

We are looking for someone who is available full-time for at least 2 months during the summer.

Your Profile

• Currently studying, ideally Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Data Science, Law, Management, or similar
• Curious about cybersecurity and how organizations stay secure
• Basic understanding about security frameworks
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Team player with good communication skills
• Proactive and eager to learn new things
• Comfortable working with different people and teams
• English (comfortable working level)
• Any exposure to cybersecurity topics or certifications
  
  

Your Tasks

• Help maintain and improve our Information Security Management System (ISMS)
• Support tracking of security goals and simple reporting
• Assist in documenting policies, processes, and controls
• Conduct security awareness trainings and phishing simulations
• Learn how to identify and track security risks
• Help document and follow up on security incidents
• Support audit preparation
• Work with the team on security standards like ISO 27001
• Collect and help visualize basic security metrics
• Collaborate with different teams across the company

We provide an attractive and performance-based salary, which is based on your qualifications and professional experience. This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade ("Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe") and we offer a minimum salary of € 30,000 gross per year. The actual remuneration may exceed the minimum salary.
