Network Engineer

Profectus is engaging a Network Engineering Assurance Specialist to support a significant Australian Government program of work. The engagement spans specialty engineering, systems engineering and integration, networking and cross-domain solutions, service management and commercial delivery assurance, across fixed and deployable environments.

The Network Engineering Assurance Specialist is a senior technical assurance role responsible for providing independent, authoritative assurance over the design, integration and deployment of deployable, tactical and fixed network capabilities.

About the role

• Provide independent assurance over deployable and fixed network integration activities
• Operate as a senior technical escalation and assurance point
• Support architecture review boards, technical assurance panels and deployment decision forums
• Exercise independent technical judgement in high-risk environments
• Influence outcomes through structured assurance, review and governance processes

Required skills and experience

• Deployable, tactical or expeditionary network systems experience in government or national security
• Technical assurance over complex integration activities rather than hands-on delivery
• Strong understanding of tactical and enterprise network integration, security boundaries and cross-domain interfaces, satellite/mobility/edge networking platforms
• Risk identification, analysis and evidence-based advice

Desirable

• 5+ years assuring enterprise networks and/or deployable network capabilities
• Operational exercises, field trials or deployed environments
• Accreditation, interoperability and assurance processes
• Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) exposure

Locations Canberra (ACT). Onsite at Australian Government premises.

Security Requirements

• Hold and maintain a current Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2) clearance at commencement
