Job Description

Locations: Bangalore/ Mumbai/ Gurgaon

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

As a Sales Development Representative, you will assist in generating new business opportunities by qualifying inbound leads and/or driving various outbound campaigns and creating the pipeline for the growing business in the region. Sales Development roles exist to service our Talent Solutions and Sales Solutions businesses.

LinkedIn’s Sales Solutions (business.linkedin.com/sales-solutions) provides a sales intelligence platform powered by AI that enables sales professionals to build and maintain relationships with their buyers at scale.

The candidate's experiences and interests, along with the number of active openings in the business lines will determine which role is available.

Responsibilities:

Collaboration & Communication

Build strong partnerships with AEs by aligning priorities, targets, and success metrics, operating within ROE to drive clarity, accountability, and seamless teamwork.

Customer-Centric Approach

Engage prospects through structured outreach, understand their business needs, and apply product knowledge and qualification frameworks (e.g., BANT) to create meaningful opportunities and guide next steps.

Optimization & Growth Mindset

Continuously refine outreach through testing, data enrichment, and feedback, leveraging insights to improve engagement, conversion, and overall funnel performance.

Driving Performance & Accountability

Deliver on monthly and quarterly goals by aligning daily execution to core KPIs, following structured plans, and using data to track and improve effectiveness.

Business Acumen & Operational Excellence

Understand customer buying processes, communicate value effectively, and maintain accurate CRM inputs to support strong pipeline quality and forecasting.



Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sales, business development, recruiting, lead generation or sales operations OR High School Diploma, General Educational Development (GED), or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ months of experience with CRM/ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics, HubSpot), with the ability to maintain accurate pipeline data.
  • Familiarity with modern prospecting approaches, including multi-channel outreach (calls, email, LinkedIn) and use of AI-powered tools for research and workflow efficiency
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret basic metrics, collaborate with sales teams, and continuously improve outreach effectiveness
