Manager - IT PMO

We are looking for a Manager - IT PMO to do end-to-end planning, coordination, and delivery of large-scale, high-stakes technology programs, including complex implementations for our client, a large semi-governmental organization in Dubai. This role requires strong project management experience, stakeholder communication, and the ability to manage timelines, risks, and cross-functional teams.


This role is initially on a 12-month contract basis and is renewable. It will report to the Head of PMO in the Technology department.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large, complex technology programs, including M&A integrations and enterprise implementations
  • Define project scope, objectives, and success metrics aligned to business transformation goals
  • Build and manage detailed project plans covering multiple workstreams, timelines, and budgets
  • Drive execution across cross-functional and cross-industry teams, ensuring alignment and accountability
  • Monitor program performance, proactively managing risks, dependencies, and critical milestones
  • Ensure adherence to governance frameworks, methodologies, and delivery standards
  • Provide clear, high-impact reporting to senior stakeholders on progress, risks, and outcomes
  • Lead risk and issue management in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments
  • Maintain structured and audit-ready project documentation and reporting
  • Coordinate across business, technology, and external partners during integrations and implementations
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement
  • Support strategic resource planning and capacity management across multiple concurrent programs


Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • 6–8 years of experience in project management or PMO roles within a technology-driven environment
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, high-value projects or transformation programs
  • Exposure to M&A integrations and complex system implementations is highly preferred
  • Real estate experience preferred, with exposure to cross-industry projects as a plus
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leadership
  • Experience in client-facing environments is an advantage
  • International project exposure is good to have
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as MS Project, Planner, or Jira
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or CAPM certification is an advantage
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure
  • High attention to detail with structured reporting capability
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives in fast-paced environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project tracking tools
