.Net Developer

Matchtech is collaborating with an end client in the financial sector that is expanding its IT Risk development capabilities by extending an existing team based in Paris to Porto.

The mission of this team is to deliver fast, reliable, and business‑oriented solutions that support risk analysts when legacy IT systems cannot meet tight delivery timelines.

The developer will work on a variety of applications and tools, mainly within a .NET framework, while also maintaining and enhancing existing VBA‑based solutions used daily by business users.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and test user and business requirements in close collaboration with risk analysts and development teams in Paris and Porto.
• Develop, maintain, and evolve mature applications within a .NET environment.
• Support and maintain IT PROX tools developed in .NET and VBA.
• Produce clear and structured technical documentation.
• Provide daily support to end users.
• Track and manage incidents and evolutive tasks using Jira.
• Participate in cross‑location collaboration with international stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Fluency in English – mandatory.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• High level of autonomy and self‑directed learning capability.
• Ability to analyze business requests and translate them into technical specifications.
• Solid experience as a full‑stack .NET developer.
• Good knowledge of C# .NET (Core 6.0).
• Experience with Excel and Access VBA.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server).

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of financial products and risk management.
• Previous experience in the banking sector.
• Knowledge of Entity Framework.
• Knowledge of Python.
• Experience with Power BI.
