About The Role

What if your deep understanding of machine learning could directly shape how the next generation of AI systems reason through complex problems? We're looking for Senior Machine Learning Experts to author high-fidelity reasoning traces — the structured, step-by-step decision pathways that teach large language models how to think, plan, and act reliably in the real world.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for senior ML practitioners who want meaningful, intellectually stimulating work on the frontier of AI development.

What You'll Do

• Author complex, high-fidelity reasoning traces that capture how an LLM should plan, use tools, and make decisions across sophisticated technical scenarios
• Design and document structured decision pathways — showing each reasoning step clearly and logically from problem to solution
• Review and mentor reasoning trace work to ensure planning quality, tool-use documentation, and decision logic meet high standards
• Develop data strategies that help LLMs navigate intricate, real-world reasoning challenges
• Contribute directly to training data that improves model reliability and decision-making at scale
  
  

Who You Are

• Experienced in Machine Learning, AI research, or a closely related technical field — you've worked at a senior level and it shows
• A natural problem decomposer — you can break complex, ambiguous challenges into clear, logical, well-documented steps
• Deeply familiar with LLM evaluation and training methodologies
• A precise, structured thinker who takes quality seriously and documents decisions with clarity
• Self-directed and comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment
  
  

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality pipelines, or AI evaluation systems
• Top-tier Kaggle competition results (Grandmaster or Master level) — demonstrating expert-level model understanding and feature engineering
• Experience working alongside AI research teams or contributing to foundation model development
• Background in reinforcement learning, chain-of-thought prompting, or agent-based AI systems
