We're working with an exciting early stage robotics organisation that’s building a next generational AI platform physical AI platform. They’re looking to hire an AI Engineer to join a newly forming team at a genuinely foundational stage.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and iterating on core Vision‑Language‑Action and video‑action models within a physical AI stack
- Designing and running model training and experimentation for an initial robotics demonstrator
- Collaborating closely with research, systems, and robotics engineers in a highly hands‑on environment
- Translating research ideas into robust, applied model implementations
- Contributing broadly across the stack in a fast‑moving startup setting rather than owning a narrow module
Requirements:
- Strong experience in AI/ML engineering with hands‑on model building and training
- Background in areas such as VLA models, video‑action models, LLMs, or autonomous systems
- Excellent intuition for applied machine learning and experimentation
- Interest in physical AI, robotics, or embodied intelligence applications
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Up to €80,000 base
Location: Düsseldorf (on‑site)
This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground floor of a physical AI effort, working closely with a small, high‑calibre team and having real influence over the technical direction from day one.
