Senior Engineer – IFEC and Cabin Interiors

Job Purpose:

Manage In-Flight Entertainment and Cabin Connectivity (IFEC) program and assist in Cabin Interior-related project / program.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Liaise with affected internal stakeholders (e.g., CAMO, Maintenance, Product Development, Commercial, etc.) and

manufacturers to establish IFEC configuration specifications for new aircraft programs.

2. Effectively manage and monitor all new aircraft IFEC programs in each phase of project: definition, production, and

delivery.

3. Along with Finance Department, keep a track and control of new aircraft IFEC program budget versus actual cost.

4. Effectively liaise with manufacturers to ensure IFEC product is defined, manufactured and delivered on time and as per

airline’s required specifications.

5. Work closely with Senior Engineer Cabin Interiors and Structures to ensure compatibility of seat product with IFE

equipment.

6. Participate in effective negotiation of contracts related to new aircraft IFEC program with affected manufacturers for

the purpose of meeting the airline’s requirements at minimum cost.

7. Participate in meetings with manufacturers that are outside normal office hours due to time zone difference.

8. Assist Senior Engineer Cabin Interiors and Structures in relation to Cabin Interior project / program.

9. In the absence of Senior Engineer Cabin Interiors and Structures, to undertake duties related to Cabin Interiors and

Structures, or as assigned by AMTP.

10. Undertake other duties as requested by management.

11. HSE requirements as per company and government rule.

12. Other duties and tasks that may be assigned by management.

Education & Experience:

➢ Bachelor degree in Engineering OR ICAO Type II license with 8.5 years of relevant

aviation work experience.

➢ Minimum two years of project management experience in IFEC.

➢ Attended relevant course for IFE and Cabin Connectivity training.

Special Skills & Knowledge

➢ Project management

➢ Highly proficient in assessment of technical data and manuals (e.g. production

documentation, specification documentation, CMM, AMM, etc.)

➢ Highly proficient in English language (verbal and written)

➢ Effective in multi-tasking

➢ Effective in working independently and/or in a team–oriented, collaborative

environment (as necessary)

➢ Proficient in MS Office.

➢ Experience in Cabin Interiors and / or Structures is an advantage
