Manager, Application Development ( UAEN Only )

Job purpose:

Application design, development, implementation, technical documentation, testing, user support (including technical troubleshooting) of complex n-tier enterprise systems, maintenance and vendor support of banking applications, non-banking applications and interfaces so as to ensure that the IT service is delivered effectively and efficiently in compliance with policies, procedures, standards and guidelines and business needs and business processes are automated and integrated optimally.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Application design, development, implementation, technical documentation, testing, user support (including technical troubleshooting) of complex n-tier enterprise systems.
• Manage vendors for support and enhancement of 10 or more applications as per SLA or agreement.
• Support Application Development to resolve any application issues.
• Assist HOIST and Executive-Application Development in strategic/tactical issues.
• Development: Hands-on experience in API management, Microservices architecture, and secure coding practices.
• Infrastructure: Deep understanding of Nginx for traffic management and application delivery, alongside traditional servers (IIS/WebSphere).
• Databases: Proficiency in RDBMS (SQL Server or Oracle).
• Methodology: Strong experience in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall SDLC.
• DevOps & Security: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, encryption controls (SSL/TLS termination), and Unix/Shell scripting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Advantageous Certifications: SDLC, ITIL, or Security+ (CISSP/CEH).

Experience:

• 5 to 10 years of experience with a reputable Bank or Banking Software vendor, Banking industry experience is not essential but will be an advantage.
• Experience working on Banking Application Development Projects.
