Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Description

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will report directly to the Apollo Group CISO and work closely with our internal IT and development teams. The role covers hands-on security architecture development, supporting the implementation of ISO 27001 across the group, and rolling out new security services.

Key Responsibilities

•      Help to plan and design the security architecture of information systems

•      Provide risk analysis of information systems' security and performance

•      Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 27001 compliance

•      Evaluate compliance with standards and security requirements

•      Collaborate with the SOC team on incident detection and resolution

•      Contribute to vulnerability management — scanning, remediation planning, and supporting implementation together with the IT team

•        Work with Development to ensure security requirements are embedded in development and deployment processes

•        Manage identity and access control (e.g. Entra ID)

•      Deploy and implement new security services and tools

•      Collaborate with external partners (e.g. security vendors, auditors, consultants)

•      Occasional travel to Apollo Group OÜ markets (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland)

Requirements

Must Have

•      At least 3 years of previous experience in the cyber security field (e.g. as a Security Engineer or similar)

•      Knowledge about network, communication and platform security

•      Experience with ISO 27001 or similar frameworks and readiness to support its implementation

•      Hands-on experience with computer networks and network security (firewalls, VPN, segmentation, IDS/IPS)

•        Experience with cloud security (Azure, AWS)

•      Ability to learn fast and adapt well to new technical challenges

•      High level of responsibility and systematic approach to your work

•      Ability to work independently and take initiative

•      Very good written and spoken English; Estonian is a plus

•      EU citizenship
