Principal Architect (Remote – Ireland)

We are hiring a Principal Architect to join a high-growth software company delivering a next-generation platform for global enterprise clients.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role reporting to the CTO, where you will define architecture strategy, guide engineering teams, and drive the adoption of modern technologies including AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and define overall software architecture and technical strategy
• Design scalable, high-performance systems and APIs
• Lead architectural decisions, reviews, and best practices
• Drive cloud, DevOps, and system reliability improvements
• Support AI/ML integration across the platform
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence

Requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering with senior architecture experience
• Strong expertise in modern web and backend technologies (e.g., React, Java, Spring)
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP), APIs, and distributed systems
• Solid understanding of security, scalability, and system design
• Strong leadership and communication skills
