Job scope

The Software Developer (“Developer”) is a product development position that collaborates closely across company functions to achieve Mesh Bio’s business objectives. The Developer would work with other developers and commercial staff to translate business objectives, product development strategies, customer requirements into Mesh Bio’s products and services.

• Develop production code while maintaining highest standards and practices of software development
• Implement and maintain systems and software architecture for data ingestion, storage, processing, and visualization under medical device and HIPAA design controls
• Ensure that development is performed with clean, well-commented, and well-tested code that follows data governance policies
• Implement security methods for user and device authentication and authorization, as well as robust encryption and other security mechanisms
• Provide development and production status updates to project leaders
• To take an active role in discussing own and group tasks in Scrum and topical meetings, collective problem solving, mutual enrichment and growth
• Create and maintain robust documentation for each task, solutions and code
• Learn new programming languages and tools as needed especially those in our tech stack
• Some regional travel will be required (<50%)
• Any ad hoc work related task as assigned by immediate Superior

Job Requirements:

• Min Bachelor’s degree in STEM
• 1-2 years prior experience in software development or algorithm R&D
• Comfort with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment
• Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional areas
• Ability to multi-task and manage tasks with varying priorities
• Preference for those who have proficiency in 1 or more of the following in our tech stack:
• Javascript, HTML/CSS, ReactJS, Python
• Database and data model management in MongoDB.
• Familiarity with additional databases (e.g. Postgres/Maria/MySQL) a plus.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude etc) in software development workflows, tools and infrastructure services a plus
• Understand the product development process and the active completion of the URS-PRS-Component-Test loop
• Be able to independently solve development problems of average difficulty
• Develop high quality code ready for production that implements robust error handling, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms
• Proactively identify areas of improvement, filling up gaps, discovering new programming approaches
• Work in a distributed team environment.
