The Role

The Project Manager acts as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and teams, ensuring that technology solutions align with business goals. This role focusses on defining, planning and managing deliverables for assigned initiative(s) or work-streams as part of larger project(s). The role ensures that the project or initiatives produce the required deliverables to the agreed standard of quality and within the specified constraints of cost, risk, and time.

Your responsibilities:

• Identifies and manages key stakeholders
• Develops and gains agreement to project plan; provides regular progress reports to key stakeholders
• Implements and maintains a consistent project management methodology ensuring project conforms to appropriate governance including all project documentation
• Manages all aspects of risk, issues, and contingency
• Oversee the delivery of projects and services, ensuring quality, timelines, and budgets are met
• Determines, procures, and manages appropriate resources to deliver the project (functional or divisional team and a small number of third parties)
• Manages all project communications
• Provides support in contract negotiation
• Leads and manages a virtual project team.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• Worked on projects in cybersecurity or IT domains.
• Delivery Management skills. Comprehensive and strong skills in project management. Able to take decisions, assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks and can make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interest of the organisation.
• Can multitask, with the ability to switch quickly between tasks and to think about the project on many different levels at once.
• Fosters teamwork, works cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and can make decisions that enhance organisational effectiveness.
• Self-motivated and proactive in the working environment.
• Strong resource management, financial management, and budget management skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and be able to think quickly and adept about how to address problems as they come up and to learn from the issues so that the same problem do not arise again.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

• Experience in IT service delivery, project management, or engagement management
• Experience working in a Telecom client-facing or consulting environment
• Familiarity with Telecom Business and UK Telecom Landscape
• Advanced interpersonal skills. Being able to relate well to others, to dictate responsibilities, to offer constructive feedback and to support and encourage others. Finds ways to motivate the team and earn their respect in order for them to work effectively and focused on delivery outcomes – ensuring met deadlines with quality.
• Strong enough commercial skills and experience to be able to develop and challenge costs and benefits in business cases.
• Demonstrates the gravitas and courage needed to build relationships and convey authority in order to resolve conflicts and maintain direction.
